Shipwrecks 1656-1942: A guide to historic wreck sites of Perth

Book Cover

Sarah Kenderdine presents the wealth of history to be discovered under the sea in the Perth region, in the form of historic shipwrecks. The book is the essential, comprehensive wreck divers' guide to the sites in the region but also offers much more. It will complement the library of maritime historians and has particular appeal to all those who are interested in the history and heritage of Perth.

Containing over 200 illustrations including location maps, photographs and the plans of the thirty-eight wreck sites, the book offers a compelling view of the underwater world of shipwrecks. The wreck sites have been divided into five sub-regions (and the various sections colour coded) for easy reference.

Already in high demand it is a unique volume that fills an obvious gap in dive literature, tourism and local cultural heritage markets. It is also likely to find a ready audience in schools and universities Australia-wide.
