Virtual Exhibitions

See the 17th century Batavia Shipwreck virtual exhibition. In the darkness of the morning of June 1629, the VOC ship Batavia struck a reef in the Abrolhos Islands off the coast of Terra Australis Incognita... The resulting dark and grisly tale horrified the world... Now a replica of the original Pelsaert's journal, that brought the horror of the mutiny to the world, is on display along with a collection of early charts, documents and books at the WA Maritime Museum's Hartog to De Vlamingh Exhibition.

Come and see how the Maritime Museum discovered the Correio da Azia shipwreck with "The Discovery of the Correio da Azia" virtual exhibition. This virtual exhibition utilises the latest Macromedia Flash MX plugin.
