The large collection of vertebrate fossils, ranges from the world's oldest fishes, dating back 480 million years through to the abundant Pleistocene mammals found in caves throughout Western Australia. Notable are our large collections of Devonian fishes from the Gogo Formation (370 million years old), Kimberley district, which are perfectly preserved in 3-dimensional form, and are generally regarded as the best fish fossils of this age in the world. |
