This video shows the WA Museum's exhibition and design installation team setting-up Nick Cave - the exhibition which showed at the Western Australian Museum - Perth from May 23 - July 19 2009. The Victorian Art Centre curated and designed this exhibition. This video is a time lapse recording with one frame taken every 72 seconds over a five day period.
This film was recorded in late May 2009 by the talented and famous Julian Featherston of Two Feathers.
Our next partnership with the Victorian Arts Centre arrives April 2011 in the form of an exhibition titled ACDC: Australia’s Family Jewels. Our exhibition designers worked closely with curator Tim Fischer to produce the exhibition which opened in Melbourne this year and was a great success. More on ACDC exhibition development and the design process next time...

The first time I heard Nick

The first time I heard Nick Cave's voice it was, unfortunately, alongside Kylie Minogue's. Thanks to this ill advised collaboration I steered clear of his music for years, but this exhibition made me change my mind. You don't have to be a fan to appreciate his ideas, or the intimacy of some of the items in this exhibit.
