The Western Australian Museum Faunabase database is now obsolete, but more updated research information is now available via the following:

NatureMap is a joint DEC and WAM initiative that contains all relevant links to Museum collection data for WA and is used extensively by consultants, the public and government workers. The joint badging agreement is important to both the WAM profile and whole of government initiatives.

OZCAM is a major national and international portal that also contains ‘up to date’ feeds of entire WAM collections data thus becoming a major promotional facility for one of the Museum’s core functions
