A small terrestrial frog similar to the squelching and bleating frogs from which it differs in the greater degree of lateral fringing on its toes and by its call. Maximum size 2.4 cm.

Distribution
South coast from Manjimup, Frankland, Stirling Ranges in the north to Pemberton, Lake Muir and near Albany in the south. A separate population is found in the Fitzgerald River National Park and near Cape Arid.
Habitat
Seasonally inundated Melaleuca swamps.
Breeding
Males call in winter from around submerged sedges in relatively deep water. Will also breed in roadside ditches.
Call
A long low-pitched squelch. Similar to squelching frogs but longer.
Eggs and Tadpoles
Presumably similar to the squelching and bleating frogs.
