At the Shipwreck Galleries, Cliff Street
Help us rid the museum of these pesky Rats. They usually arrive just before the long summer school holidays! Follow the clue trail to find the rats hiding in the Museum, receive a sticker and become an official Rat Catcher! Free activity (Dec/Jan school holidays)

Become a spice captain working for the VOC Spice Company. Sail the world buying spices. (July School holidays)

 Seafarers of the past carried all sorts of strange and valuable products to sell and trade. Come on your own voyage of discovery and find these exotic cargoes at our museum. (October school holidays) |

What do you get when you mix 2 giraffes, 3 little pigs, a boxing kangaroo and 18 woolly sheep? Come and complete the mystery pictures of the animals afloat in our museum. (October School Holidays) |

Become an Ocean Explorer and set sail on a voyage of discovery to find the answer to the mysteries and puzzles. (All year) |

Set sail on an Ocean of Stories with your preschooler and help Bartholemew Ramsbottom find the answer to these mysteries. (All year) |

Catch a catfish or snap up a snapper ... fish from a mock jetty in our miniature ocean, land your catch, identify the species, measure your fish and throw back the small ones. Fish friendly fishers get a sticker and put their name in the draw for a prize. |

Help! Those pesky rats have also invaded our Victoria Quay museum ... find the rats, receive an official Rat Catcher sticker AND make your own 3-D Rat! Enter our colouring competition. Free activity *(entry charges apply)

The museum usually provides the activities at the Shipwreck Galleries free but on occasion it is necessary to make a small charge to cover costs. These clue trails are always fun, but also include a strong learning component. The Education Section enjoys strong support for its holiday activities from children and parents.
Please note: Normal entry fees apply for Holiday Activities at the Maritime Museum on Victoria Quay.
