Follow the adventures of ‘Sam Sunday’ as he makes his way to the Goldfields. The year is 1903 and he has arrived in the Western Australian Colony at the town of Albany, but Sam Sunday has decided he should make his way to the Goldfields to find some gold!

Trail activity – readers 

Ages: 7+ (young children will require assistance with reading)     

Cost: $3.50      

Bookings: required for groups of 10 or more on (08) 9021 8533   

Follow the story of Sam Sunday as he makes his way to the Goldfields. Find out how he makes his journey easier and makes sure he gets enough water. As you follow Sam Sunday’s journey, create the illustrations for your book, and colour them in.

Hidden throughout the Museum are some pictures of things Sam encountered on his journey from Albany to the Goldfields. Throughout the Museum and gardens you will find numbered discs with pictures on them. Take a rubbing then colour the picture they reveal to create the story of Sam’s journey to the goldfields.
