Western Australian Museum, Perth(Being Relocated)
The Marine Gallery, over 20 years old and depicting Western Australia’s magnificent marine environment including the enormous Blue Whale skeleton, is closed to the public.
In the very near future the story of the Western Australia’s marine environment will move to the Western Australian Museum – Albany.Here the exhibition – to be titled “Sea of Life” – will be brought up to modern museum standards.
The Blue Whale skeleton needs extensive conservation work. It was moved from the Francis Street building to the Museum's new collections storage facility where this important work can be undertaken.
