Calogero was third child of Sebastiano Barbagiovanni and Carmela Conti. Brother of Giuseppa, Rosaria, Maria and Carmela. Although he never married he is the much-loved uncle of many newphews and nieces. He has been a monumental support to his sisters and their families.
