Read their story

Charles and Doris Barker left Southampton in the UK aboard the SS AUSTRALIA and arrived in Australia on 22/05/1977. After a short holiday we settled in Forrestfield and both found work. Doris commenced her career in nursing at Royal Perth Hospital and Charles in the oil industry. We eventually moved to Mundaring to be closer to our son and his family and are grandparents to four lovely children, 2 boys and 2 girls. We are all proud Australians in a very lucky country.
