Read their story

Left school and began working when nine years old. Joined father (Luigi) first lodging - makeshift shack (corrugated iron roof, hessian bag walls). Worked together in country towns. Interned at Rottnest during WW2. Released to grow potatoes for the Australian Army. Married Celia De Rosa (18/12/1943). Worked for Nestle and Brownes Dairy (1949-1983). Daughters Lena (12/02/1946) and Anne (08/04/1950).
