Captain Blyth was in the 12th Royal Lancers & Aid De-Com to the Prince of Wales during WWI. Serving in four wars, his regiment was called the 'Old Contemptibles'. He married Lilla in Durban, South Africa & two of his children were born in Potchefstroom.
