Our family - mum, dad, daughter (13) & son (11) migrated from London in January 1960. We were nominated by the Australian Govt. Cost to my parents was 10 pounds. We were to settle in Victoria but on arrival in Fremantle, the WA Govt asked if we would like to live in Perth, as my father's occupation was plastering and tiling and Perth was about to boom. 45 years later - still here.
