Inital Land Grant was the suburb of BICTON. Came to the colony as a cooper and did the carpentry work on the Round House There are 4 family stained glass windows in St John's Anglican Church in Fremantle His head stone is on display in the historical section of the Fremantle cemetery.
Awarded contract for Round House Prison woodwork with WA Manning. Allocated 1426 acres of land. 500 acres at suburb of Bicton, which he named; where he established vineyard and winemaking business. Owned numerous allotments in Fremantle town site. Committee member of WA's first newspaper.
