Eldest son of Theodosios and Ekaterini Kannis. Employed at Nannup and Ellis Creek cutting timber. Brought out his mother, 2 brothers and 2 sisters to Australia in 1916. Later came up to Perth and opened own fish shop and restaurant in Hay St East, later known as “Johnnies For Chicken”. First person to sell oven-baked chickens in Perth.
