Michael Kilgallon came from County Sligo. Ireland. He was a pensioner guard and was given a plot of land in Northam. Michael and wife, Margaret came to Western Australia accompanied by their two daughters, Margaret and Catherine. Eight more children were born to Margaret and Michael Kilgallon here in Australia - Annie born 1866, John born 1867, Michael born 1869, Mary born 1870, James born 1872, Peter born 1874, Agnes born 1876 and Edward born 1883.
