Orphaned at two yrs, family home bombed during WWI. Remained with his grand-mother till old enough to board training ship Warspite at Greenhithe. Trained as seaman, joined Merchant Marine, travelled world, came to Australia several times. Rosa trained as a tailoress, small connection to Titanic. Great great grand-father invented Condies Crystals.
