Jan born in Zabno, Poland (father - Blaise Kita, mother - Sofie Marzec). Taken as prisoner early in WWII to work in Bohemia. Later married Pauline (Waldburger). Migrated to Fremantle accompanied by Pauline and daughter Hildegarde (Linz, Austria). Settled in Cannington and worked for the Water Board.
