Read their story

Arrived in WA under the 'Returned Soldier Scheme', with children, Ernest (15), Mabel (13), Olive (10), Fred (8), Charles (2) and Florence (1). Took over War Service Land Settlement block near Manjimup. Progressed onto improovements, dairying and general farming activity. Could not sustain growing family. Soon children went elsewhere to find work.
Charles enlisted in WW2. served in most areas but was killed in action in Papua New Guinea in 1942.
