Erika initially lived in Melville then went to live and work on a sheep station in the wheatbelt. She eventually moved to Brisbane where she met and married Joe Mikolics. They relocated to Perth's northern suburbs in mid 1960s with their 3 daughters Maria, Sandi and Sue.
