The Premier of Western Australia, Hon. Alan Carpenter MLA, unveiled the second stage of the Welcome Walls on 27 May 2006 at the Maritime Museum in Fremantle. An estimated 8,000 people took part in the day-long celebrations. The walls at the entrance of the Museum now include the personal details of 16,794 families.
