The Acalinovich Family arrived in Fremantle in 1948 after a 3 month journey from Egypt, where son Vincent was born in a displaced persons camp. They chose Western Australia, as Peter's father, Visko had experienced life in the Goldfields from 1910-1920. Daughter Deanna was born in Fremantle in 1952.
