Came to Australia as a single person, worked as a boilermaker and married Emilie Peletier in 1956. They lived in Queens Park and had 5 children, Peter, Jayne, June, Andrew and Jacqueline. He was widowed in 1969 and remarried in 1978 to Els vanderSchaar.

Ik ga ervan uit dat jullie ook nog de nederlandse taal beheersen, though my English is reasonably well.Clearing my Australian papers, I found a letter written to me by Els van der Schaar in 1972. Enclosed was a picture, taken in February 1972. On it are the 5 children mentioned in this text.
I wonder what has become of Els, who I probably have met in Australia ( or somewhere else). As a matter of fact, I don't remember anything about her.The letter she wrote was sent to me when I was back in The Netherlands.Then my son Ben was 4 years old.
It would be nice, if you could react to this mail.As you see, I send a copy of the picture.
Since 1977 I live in Meppel, a town in the province of Drenthe. My son Ben is 44 now and with his family he lives in Amsterdam.
