On arrival, Vittorio worked in Wokalup as a farm labourer. He married Emma Tomé by proxy in 1933. In 1936, they purchased their farm in Catterick, via Greenbushes, where he farmed until his death in 1978. They had 3 children - Elio, Amelita & Stephanie. In appreciation of his life's hard work.
