  • No choice of going back home my parents were forced to immigrate to Australia. Lived in Northam where two more daughters were born. The eldest daughter born in Germany, was four when the family came to Fremantle in November 1950.
Not learning that their family was dead but fearing that their family was dead Red Cross Australia found the family in the 60's. Mum and Dad went back twice. Dad died in 1989 and Antonina is now living in Leeming WA
Her three daughters all married, Toni is now Great Babcia to 11 great grandchildren! Her longing for Home has never waivered, now 87 with Dementia she talks of Poland as home!
