My father, Frederick, went on to become the highly regarded West Australian State Secretary of the BWIU and was instrumental in bringing about positive reform in the building industry. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 85. He was survived by his wife Ivy, children Kevin, Christine, Lesley, Sharon and Glen, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
