Eric joined his brothers timber cutting in the southwest before lumping wheat at Korrelocking and Kunnoppin. He bought Solitude Farm at Trayning in 1915. He married Mavis Purdy in 1932. They had eight children. Grave head stone at Trayning Cemetery.
