Leokadija Kovalevs was a truly multinational lady. Born in Lithuania of a Latvian mother & Polish father, she lived in Latvia, was evacuated to Russia during WWI & spent five years in Germany as a WWII refugee until Australia became home. She was a creative, cultural and dignified lady.
