Son of Luciano Papiccio and Elisa Vetta, he left Italy at age 18 years to create a new life. He worked very hard to establish himself and prepare for his new wife Marianina (nee Mirco) who joined him in 1956. They raised 3 children Luciano, Patrizia and Lisa.
