Read their story

Elijah settled in Katanning in 1862 and was the first white settler there. He was a pastoralist holding significant tracts of land, running his sheep in Katanning/Woodannilling districts. He and Elizabeth had 11 children. Their first child, Charles, was born off Ascension Island during their passage to Australia.
