Read their story

William (Bill) Tatchell (13) arrived with other underprivileged British children bound for Fairbridge Farm School in Pinjarra. During WWII, Bill served overseas with the 2/28th Infantry. In 1947 Bill married Helen Wylie, also from Fairbridge. They lived in Palmyra for many years. Bill was a Fremantle waterside worker for 30 years.
