Granted land Swan Valley - Licensee "Stirling Arms" Fremantle and ferry rights North Fremantle. Granted land on Rottnest Island - worked salt lakes and grew wheat. 1839 Govt. resumes land for penal settlement - in exchange for land at Jambaker - Thomson Lake. Also 1841 granted Lot 24 Plantagenet, 600 acres. Lived in Mandurah until death of his wife 1863. Then joined his son on Kangaroo Island, SA. Died 11-1-1865
