Worked on major engineering projects such as Kwinana Refinery, Snowy River Mountain Scheme (1958-61) and Western Port Oil refinery (Victoria). Married Maria Kerenyi, two children Kathryn (Speech Pathologist), Nicholas (Commercial Pilot). Lived in Broome 3 years, was volunteer ambulance officer.

  • Is this the same Elemer Vajda who entered a Subaru 1300 in the Wanneroo round of the 1973 Australian Touring Car Championship? It is still the only Subaru to have contested an ATCC race.
