Henry fought in the Crimean War, was wounded and pensioned off to become a Prison Officer at Parkhurst Prison in the Isle of Wight. Accompanied convicts to Albany as Assistant Warder in Albany and later in Williams. Was responsible for the building of the the Lower King and Lower Kalgan Bridges.
