Helen (Ellen) Wylie (12) and brother Alec (13) left behind family in Glasgow to join with other underprivileged British children bound for Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra. In 1947 she married Bill Tatchell, also from Fairbridge. They lived in Palmyra for many years. Helen is an Old Fairbridgian's Association member.
