Adam Zencich joined the navy in 1926 & moved to Australia in 1928. Settled in Busselton with wife Dinka, 1930. Adam worked cutting sleepers then owner driver at Main Roads Dept. In 1948 the family moved to a market garden in Osborne Park, then to new venture in Mt Hawthorn ‘Zencich Store'.
